      Pros

      It is an hourly position so if you happen to work overtime you will get paid for it. But overtime is frowned upon.

      Cons

      The company does not provide a fair amount of hours to allow a new hire to receive proper training. It often becomes a sink or swim shift and I do not feel this is fair to the new employee(s) and to the managers as well, because in order to have a proper and organized team, training is very crucial to create structure and consistency throughout. Then as a visual manager, you find yourself staying longer (in which you get punished for) to make sure on floorset days the large shipment of merchandise gets set onto the sales floor correctly. But unfortunately the hours get taken away from floorset team as well to be used in other departments so you are not even provided with the correct amount of associates whom are not fairly trained to be able to complete the task. Also the first manager I had was treated poorly and pushed out of the company. The second manager that came in was beyond disrespectful and threatening towards employees by giving ultimatums daily. He tactic was to make employees work through fear. I left the company, and learned he didn’t last more than a year. But again, training and hiring is an opportunity here.
