Pros

Working with big companies on a national level

Cons

They do not practice what they preach. This is a company that looks great from the outside, but inside the walls is a much different story. They have a high school click mentality, If you are not part of the group, you are on the outside and made to feel unwelcome. the other problem is the downsizing. This is not a company that holds any security for the future. The leadership constantly changes and this makes for a confusing and unsecured environment.

A Good "In-Between" Job but...

Pros

Many of the employees are kind and helpful. In certain areas, the employees genuinely care and want the company to do well. Lots of technical training and an opportunity to network with many clients and other technology companies.

Cons

Any of the legacy PDS employees have been sticking around as it is a steady, but mediocre, paycheck with hopes that things will get back to how they were under initial leadership, but with 3 different CEO's in 5 years, it won't. The company keeps trying to be everything to all customers and they are not; you cannot be the best at everything. High turn-over rate at the service desk and technical level resources through entry-level roles all the way up to the top. It is no secret that people land at PDS while they are still looking for the right job, need a paycheck to get by and make a few new connections. Benefits are horrendous at best and PDS needs to invest in their talent if they want to keep people and prevent them from leaving. A LOT of work needs to be done at this company, but I believe it is too far gone and beyond repair at this point.

Pros

There was a time when I was proud to tell people that I work for PDS but that time has been long gone. Pds had the raw talent under the original leadership. We had very talented individuals who were willing to go above and beyond to help fellow colleges, clients and customers. The company used to focus on providing exceptional services to our clients and the development of their employees but no more. Those talented individual were what put PDS on the map and made it great but unfortunately less than a handful of them are still there.

Cons

It's a pit full of vermin (literally speaking, we had bed bugs and rats), very few good people remain. you are looking at a company that's full of incompetent people who back-stab, lie, manipulate (at a very pathetic juvenile level) to get ahead and became management. Hard working will get you nowhere at this place other than getting more work which is almost impossible to complete but at the same time management will tell you that what you do is not enough even your workload is more than double of other employees. If you are ever unfortunate to get an interview with PDS for analyst position, DO NOT believe them when they tell you that it's for IT professional position. Ask them what the position does, workload, hours, what programs they use and how your IT skills will be utilized in your position. You will be surprised when you seen the blank look on the management's face wen you ask that. At that point, you should tell them " thank you for your time" then you walk out with your head held high knowing you just avoid a career suicide. Unless you want call center job which they will try to sell you as an IT help desk position. Management there is best described as Walmart management style ( you know I am talking about you, Mr. Walmart/Mr. Ed). They are as incompetent as it gets, you will either have a management that you don't hear a word from in months and refuse to comment or make decision on anything or you will have another management who gets on everybody's back telling you that what you do is not enough and expect you to do more even they were told numerous times that we were extremely understaffed. At the same time, you see them patting each other on the backs when we/analysts make things work/better while working ourselves to death but they give you no credit for it and at the same time they get pissed at you and making threats about your job security when things do go their way. I once had to show an ITT grad employee how to turn on the Explorer compatibility mode and how to do screenshot. You think about that....think very hard This place is like a virus. if you are another IT firm and you are thinking about interviewing someone who just started working at PDS in the last 2-3 years.. think very hard what kind of people you are considering hiring
