    Pros

The candid culture here is what drives open communication. Leadership truly cares about the development and growth of the workers. Work Life Balance is important here. It's a fun environment to work in, we don't take ourselves too seriously. We work hard/play hard.

    Cons

None that I can think of

I have been working at Populus Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company culture is practiced regularly. Biggest PRO's are personal and professional growth and development, the opportunities for advancement, our candid culture and open lines of communication, and work/life balance.

The company across the board is very tight knit, and our leadership team cares about the development of the internal employees. We are having a lot of growth within the company, and departments are continuing to get larger. There is a LOT of trust & transparency within the organization which is a huge plus.

This isn't a corporate hierarchy where titles matter. Everyone is a leader and has a voice that is valued. Forget the days of just doing something because your Manager told you to - even if you didn't agree with it. PG is changing the dynamics of a workforce in the best way.

    Cons

    None to think of!

I worked at Populus Group part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people that I contacted in the office were cheerful, cared about my problems, and were able to solve them -- eventually.

    Cons

Three times in the first ten months of employment my paycheck was in error: Twice I was paid for the wrong number of hours and once a travel expense report was processed as if it were a paycheck and vision and dental insurance were deducted. In each case, the error was only discovered when I pointed it out to the office.
In addition, my most recent expense reports were held up for six weeks after my manager had approved them and it was not until I complained and inquired that the expenses were approved.

    Advice to Management

The timesheet-to-payroll process needs to be improved and automated so that crap like this does not occur. Employees should not have to continually monitor their pay stubs to make certain that they are promptly compensated and properly reimbursed for expenses.

I worked at Populus Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have nothing but good things to say about PG! I was mentored by Mangers, Account Managers, and Recruiters from the start which allowed me to exceed expectations. They truly invest in their employees and your mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn. I love that I was given the independence to work my way, as long as my methods were reasonable, and they produced results. Pros - People, Flexibility, Culture, Management, Recognition, Independence.

    Cons

    None that come to mind.

    Advice to Management

Talk to the employees who are doing the work! They have a lot of good suggestions that could increase productivity!

    Pros

Populus Group has proven that they don't only talk about the culture they desire, but they actually act on it. The support that this company gives in so many levels is amazing! They work with you and provide many resources to help with career growth. They're also very understanding when it comes to balancing work and family.

    Cons

It's really hard to list any cons. It's been years of pros from my experience. I guess if it were one thing, I do wish that Populus Group offered Kaiser.
