    Pros

Truly a people first, culture focused organization. PG has really figured out how to grow the right way. Invest in the people and you flourish. The company has seen instrumental growth really quickly, and there are no plans of slowing down. It feels great to be a part of something special.

    Cons

A bit more investment in technology, but it's coming!

    Cons

I worked at Populus Group part-time

    Pros

Monthly reimbursement account for fun activities after 6 months of employment.

    Cons

Company is ran like a mom and pop shop. Not professional, consistent or transparent. Clients hire Populus because it is cheaper than other companies like it and they basically get what they pay for.

    Technology is old and inefficient.

Managers and team leaders are inexperienced, disrespectful, abnoxious and verbally abusive.

Training or lack thereof is a joke. A few days is spent explaining the job and then the employee is given a high volume of work resulting in a work week of over 40 hours and contradicting work/ life balance that the company boasts about.

401k benefits are terrible. The company only matches 50% instead of 100% and charges a maintenance fee to have the account.

    Advice to Management

Invest in training, benefits, education and technology. Stop focusing so much on creating a company culture and instead create activities that hold people accountable and make sure people are actually living the company culture. There is too much of saying one thing and doing another.

I have been working at Populus Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Populus groups is one of the best companies to work for! Management does not micromanage and is focused on your career development not just the work you are doing. Most people have the opportunity for advancement within the first year and if you don’t like what you do they will help you find another position in the company. The culture at Populus Group is one of the best out there and they care about their employees. Your family is always put first and then work second, so if your kid is sick they will give you the day off with no issue. Management strongly encourages a work life balance so don’t expect to do any work late at night or on weekends. PG offers a lot of great perks and benefits for its employees from free lunches to meet other employees to training and education reimbursement.

    Cons

Change management can sometimes be a little slow with a large period of growth.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on employee training and development

I have been working at Populus Group full-time

    Pros

My paycheck is on time 90% of the time

    Cons

I am going out of my way to post here just so I can save someone from taking a contracted position at Populus.

My assignment manager is unreachable, my paycheck has been late multiple times, and I spent over 2 hours just trying to get my tax documents from them which takes away significant time from my actual assignment.

Ive worked for a few contracting companies now and I could not believe how unattentive and straight up dumb people are at this company.

Horrible management, benefits are terrible, avoid at all costs.

I have been working at Populus Group full-time

    Pros

The culture is amazing. I am encouraged to speak up and give feedback. I feel supported in my role. I work hard but am way less stressed. There is an actual work life balance. This is the company I have been waiting for.

    Cons

More process training support when you embrace your role.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. I am thankful to come to work every day. Leadership is there for me and encourages me. I appreciate my job.
