      I experienced 4 months of "training" at Prime. It was a disgusting experience. It was not Training at all. When I started as a Company Driver there were extremely important things that my instructors had FAILED to mention!!

      Pros

      Excellent dispatchers/staff on tanker side, new equipment, good mileage, top pay in industry, right now tankers get .465 starting out before fuel bonus, avg 2500 miles on weeks you're out. All in all a stellar company to begin a trucking career, I've almost completed my first year and have had an absolutely fantastic experience.

      Cons

      The same major con for all typical trucking companies, they don't pay the miles we actually have to drive, they calculate the shortest route from zip code to zip code, when we almost ALWAYS take the safer and less time consuming route. That's simply unfair. However this is typical of most trucking companies for their company drivers, not just prime, but if Robert Lowe wants to stand out as an unmatched fleet, change this :)!!!!

      Campus - quite a facade if you don't know the truth

      Cons

      70-80 hrs /wk expected from management staff. Merciless.. Might make decent pay with forced incentives but base pay and vacation pay may only be $8 an hr. punished financially for vacation. Expected to work EVERY holiday. 14 hr days. High divorce rate. Life sucked out of you. Berated not encouraged. Destroys families because of long hrs. The facade looks great but underneath it is HELL. LIVING BREATHING GUT WRENCHING BLOOD SUCKING DAILY HELL.
