    Competent coworkers and management. Full benefits. Overtime available regularly.

    Cons

    Hours can be long or hectic at times. Long weeks can take a toll after a while.

    Hire enough drivers and temps to help keep everything caught up.

    I worked at Progressive Waste full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    The welders were allowed to do their job without a manager over their shoulder and treated as a valued member. Plenty of overtime opportunity. Most staff is pleasant to work with, almost like a family. Full benefits

    Cons

    Low intro pay and raises are far and few between.

    Advice to Management

    Keep these guys supplied with good functioning equipment and the tools to get the job done amd things will always run smoothly, avoid applying bandaids to real problems.

    Flexible schedule. Good compensation.

    Cons

    Management asks for you to send legal letters and threaten lawsuits to any business trying to get out of their contracts regardless of the reasoning.

    Take time to meet with your Account Manager weekly to discuss customer issues and resolutions.

    Dispatchers ,Drivers and Hoppers make the company.

    Cons

    I've seen Management come and go. This last group of Managers destroyed the company. They threaten the employees with their jobs. When the Senior Manager is going to fire someone he walk around playing his guitar and singing a song.     Dan Pop need to interact with his lower paid employees, so that he would know the things management is doing and allowing to happen. Look at the turn over.
