Pros

Most people are friendly, work life balance is sometimes possible.

Cons

First off, let me mention that one of the onboarding tasks is to leave a review on Glassdoor so take these with a grain of salt since many are new employees. Where to start on the cons… here’s a short list: - Majority of the work is staff augmentation - Growth at any rate is the name of the game right now. Management is willing to sell any work no matter how horrible the client or the work is - People managers are often account directors who are incentivized to sell work usually at the client you’re working at, so if you’re unhappy with a project or client it is painstakingly difficult to leave - Pay and salary increases are much lower than our competitors and industry standard. They sell you with a great culture, which in my experience, has not been delivered - The “flat” structure that is advertised is not true. When you’re on a team based project, there are hierarchies put in place and you may be managing or managed by one of your apparent peers

Pros

- working with interesting people from a variety of career backgrounds - opportunity to build relationships with your co-workers - ability to shape your time and impact outside of client work

Cons

- drinking and socializing is the most straightforward way to get promoted - lack of work/life balance: work weeks are expected to be 43 hours on average. not counting additional internal work you are doing - and everyone does some internal work. - lack of objective promotion criteria. we all think we are judged on the same competency matrix but not all performance managers adhere to that structure or make it explicit outside of annual review time. - the pay is terrible when you compare it to our competitors. you can work harder for more bonus $$ but your salary will barely increase annually. - clients not diverse enough, feels like we are just staff augmentation for a few big clients - no HR department or escalation for internal issues or questions - LT not professional - talking about other consultants publicly

Pros

Pay is decent but lags behind competitors in the same field. The people who do the work are generally pretty nice (but there are some real ego trippers for sure, especially the higher up you go into management and leadership). As far as consultants go though people aren't as bad as bigger consulting firms. Hybrid workplace. Generally pretty cool social outings. Decent branded materials. Big name clients, though the work tends to be closer to staff augmentation stuff.

Cons

I'm leaving this review as a warning: they just swapped one ineffective lame duck CEO (wow congrats on multiple layoff periods in one year!) for a way way worse one who couldn't lead his way out of a wet paper bag (nice job promoting unqualified people into SLT that caused chaos and turmoil!) All you really need to know is that people, especially men, continuously stumble and fail into better titles with more money here. It doesn't matter how hard you work or how good your work is. If you're not best friends with a senior director or managing director or C-title, you'll likely get told you're the problem before getting cut in another batch of layoffs one day without any warning. I think the grossest part is that they act really nice and say a lot of feelgood buzzwords but then you see the mess of leadership and the passive aggressiveness and it's just gross. There ARE good people here, but not enough to make up for the loudest egomaniacs partying at the top. They don't care so long as they get to take their extended trips while someone else does their work.
