    Pros

There are opportunities for women in growth and development and many in leadership positions. They try to be communicative with what is going on in the company (like with the recent acquisition). Flexible when it comes to work-life balance.

    Cons

Still have to see what happens post-Dell acquisition.

    Advice to Management

    Continue with culture development.

I have been working at RSA Security full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great heritage and brand recognition
    New CEO bringing positive change
    Overall benefits are good
People are good in general just need to be empowered more

    Cons

    Innovation and product velocity
    Support staffing too low
Too siloed but starting to improve
We invested too much in one area at the expense of others

I worked at RSA Security part-time

    Pros

Very flexible with schedule and hours
As a student job it's great pay
    Good insight into the industry
    No prior experience required
    Pretty good training program

    Cons

    Slow to get things done.
Software is slow and tends to break.
    No benefits.
Only able to work while a student.
Management is often stuck in old methods. Not really open to new ideas or change unless it's their own ideas.
No involvement in the company as a whole. Technically you work for RSA but the only way to know that is to see it on your badge and paycheck.

    Advice to Management

Don't shut down innovation, it kills office morale.

I worked at RSA Security full-time

    Pros

Good Training. Solid opportunity to move up internally because they don't really hire externally for any leadership positions for inside sales. Great place to start because of the opportunities it will offer elsewhere.

    Cons

No opportunity to go field, and those who did get promoted to field (4 in 2 years) were put in a position to fail (2 were laid off, 1 left on his own, 1 still there). The products are outdated, and marketing and sales don't work together. A lot of promotions are just a result of waiting your turn for the opportunity to open up as opposed to competing for them as they don't even really interview outside candidates. The entire Sales Leadership staff has changed in the past year and a half so there's a lot of uncertainty there as well (President gone, EVP of Worldwide Sales gone, AVP of Americas Sales gone, AVP of Global Sales gone, The entire Channels Team gone).

    Advice to Management

Continue to shake it up, but do it differently. Bring in outsiders, don't just fill the gap with people from Dell and EMC, this company needs some outsider thinking and new ideas. Create a better relationship between Sales and Marketing and invest in Marketing.

    Advice to Management

Focus heavily on keeping talent, bringing new talent, and R&D

I have been working at RSA Security full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

EMC acquisition provided some backing but their "not-invented-here" mentality has put things into chaos. Poor internal communications and virtually no technical support.

    Cons

Too many layoffs. Projects rushed with little requirements. Then when project is due, new requirements surface and results in missed deadlines. They're too driven by their jira tickets and not giving adequate review to their products or infrastructure.

    Advice to Management

Get off the "not-invented-here" mentality. Start implementing current technology. Verisign is eating your lunch. Dump the "that's not the way we do things" attitude and start exploring what your staff is telling you. Provide a fast and stable infrastructure. Too many times critical infrastructure services are either too slow or down. Create a channel for inter-corporate communications and technical support.

I have been working at RSA Security full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

RSA cares deeply about its mission and is pulling out all the stops to improve its portfolio and services. The company dedicates many resources to provide thorough training and resources to its employees and promotes a healthy environment for career growth. The benefits are incredible as is the work/life balance. The executive leadership team is very transparent and focused on the overall success of the business. The company is also very dedicated to providing an excellent customer experience.

    Cons

There have been some growing pains with the Dell / EMC merger, changes in executive leadership, and restructuring of the product portfolios. However, the changes were in the best interest of the company and will ultimately result in improvements and optimization.

    Advice to Management

Keep the lines of communication open between the employees and their organizations to keep your finger on the pulse of the business from the ground up.

    Pros

    Good work-life balance
Great colleagues. Some very smart people here
    Good pay and benefits.
    Nice facility

    Cons

Management lacks the leadership skills and vision to navigate RSA through the Dell merger. Our new CEO is here to cut costs.
Jobs going to off shore 'centers of excellence'

    Advice to Management

The old RSA is gone. Best to get in line with Rohit's lead and salvage something of this company's once great brand.
