    Pros

Personal/Sick Days: 10 days. Maternity Leave: 12 or 14 weeks if C-section. 3 weeks vacation with 1-shutdown week during Christmas to New Year. Flexible working arrangement: Remote or office.

    Cons

Vacations are use it or lose it. Very limited health options with no too great offering/coverage.
Majority of co-workers are dispersed across the state, not much face-to-face colleague interaction.

    Advice to Management

More open and communicate more paths to career and professional development.

"RSA Archer Support positions should be avoided at all costs"

I worked at RSA Security full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They over pay for their support positions.

    Cons

    -Completely inept management.
    -Complete lack of documented process.
-Customer "escalations" do not move to more knowledgeable reps; rather become forced priority to the detriment of other clients.
    -Complete lack of efficient training.
    -Micromanagement leads to duplicated work.
-After leaving the company they illegally withheld my final paycheck for over a month due to lack of documented exit processes.

    Advice to Management

As the company scales it would be wise to train representatives better so that customer experience is not impacted. Due to so many mass resignations perhaps a "maybe its us?" thought should cross your mind. Also if you are attempting to run a KCS model you will want to use your portal more effectively, ensure competency of your employees through training, and set knowledge goals for resources. You currently do none of those.

    Facilities are great
    The expectations are reasonable
    Promote from within
    Puts trust in employees

    Cons

Solving commission issues and deal assignments can be tiring
Sometimes it feels like product marketing doesnt listen to what sales is saying and is only focused on what they want to be focused on

I have been working at RSA Security full-time

    Pros

    - The Cyber Security Industry is truly a growing field
    - Management is really working to help improve the company overall
    - The atmosphere is very laid back

    Cons

    - The processes can be a bit overwhelming and take too long
    - Inter-departmental communication can take too long
    - Commissions can be hard to navigate, but they are getting better

    Advice to Management

Invest in systems and platforms that will communicate to each other instead of using separate platforms that don't interconnect. This only makes everyones jobs harder.

I worked at RSA Security full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    -30,000 +/- customer footprint
    -benefits / pay
    -training and development
-it wants to be good - it just doesn't know how
-still some good, creative, hardworking and talented people under the hood

    Cons

-RSA has no idea what it wants to be, see identity crisis (even before Dell acquired it)
-The notion of (4) CEOs in (4) Years is not strategic - it's alarming
-Incredible amounts of talent have left the business - the ones that remain are brave and loyal and tired
-You are days, weeks, months away from the next restructure (see bullet 1)
-RSA has squandered precious time in the marketplace allowing itself to be leapfrogged by lesser competitors
-RSA has made horrible acquisitions and executed horribly on the good acquisitions
-RSA allowed an impetuous / immature person to become CEO at a pivotal time in its go to market (where was the vetting??)
-RSA took a brand with incalculable value and sullied it

    Advice to Management

Make up your mind about what you want to be and do it; just for once, execute on a strategy and stay with it for more than six months. You have churned and burned through irreplaceable talent while allowing the once great RSA logo to spiral downward. The people that remain are thirsting for leadership and an end to the constant rebuilding and big company politics. Get rid of the beanbag chairs, ring toss and foosball tables, that does not make it a fun company, it makes it look like a mid-life crisis, especially when they are positioned next to dozens of empty desks that were once staffed by good people. Dell should divest the line of business or make an investment in it ---the death by 1000 cuts approach cannot continue. Regardless of my feedback, I wish you the best, it was a great place to work at one time. My ratings reflect what the company became, not what it once was.

I have been working at RSA Security full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Promote from within most of the time.
    - Generally fun culture
    - Professional and dedicated coworkers
    - The company is investing heavily in turning the brand around and regaining it's market leader position with it's various products.

    Cons

    - Promote from within most of the time. Including ineffective and absent individual contributors into management where they continue that pattern.
    - Due to absent management many processes that could have been standardized and streamlined remain antiquated and extend the sales process.
    - Unclear role, RSA support is understaffed so management has said SEs will have to step up and act as technical support for existing customers. Formerly we just focused on getting the technical win for sales.
    - High turnover, especially of experienced personnel.
    - Lack of effective training for a lot of new personnel.

    Advice to Management

Spend 8 hours a day every day working to promote your teams, standardize and streamline antiquated processes, and anything else that can help your team help the customer faster and better than before.
