There is real opportunity to make an impact, particularly for individuals who are proactive, customer-focused and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment. The scale and breadth of the organisation provides exposure to major enterprise customers, complex projects and evolving technologies, while still allowing individuals to influence outcomes and drive change. There is also a growing focus on simplification, collaboration and improving the overall customer and employee experience, which creates positive momentum across the business.

Cons

As with many long-established organisations of this size, there are areas where processes, communication and ways of working continue to evolve. The pace of change and transformation can create periods of ambiguity, particularly as the business simplifies structures and modernises how teams operate together. Pros

Might get lucky and be assigned to a nice client office if you’re a site engineer. I stayed for a long time as I was contracted to a nice place with lovely people and seldom had to deal with SCC - All assistance I got in my role came from employees at SCC’s client site. As soon as they took that from me, the role became unbearable and I had to leave.

Cons

never any acknowledgement of outstanding achievement but plenty of harsh words for a minor slip up. Doesn’t care about their client and will throw you in the deep end as a patsy. No effort to assist or help you excel in your role, any display of such is merely management ticking a box and usually will actually hinder you.
