I have been working at SOS Security full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Co workers are great. Reasonably close to home. Extra work at overtime available. Paid time off. Easy going. Understanding co workers. Willing to work and help you

    Cons

Some posts are boring and there isn't much work to do so it's a slow shift. Can be a lot of overtime and some shifts you will have to pick up.

I have been working at SOS Security full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some nice co workers and some decent clients.

    Cons

Minimum wage, no communication. Read advice to management.

    Advice to Management

Stay far away from this company (Boston office) if you want to have a life outside of work. They will work you until you quit or drop. Upper management has no clue what their branches do. No communication at all between corporate, the regional branches, management and supervisors. Employees wages are based on who you know in upper management, fear mongering or what nationality you are. I have never seen anything quite like this in my entire working life.

Examples - working 24 hour shifts with no notice, shceduled 70 plus hours a week for months at a time, work 7 days a week every week, making minimum wage while new hires make more, being scheduled at 2 sites at the same time and getting written up or reprimanded for no showing. Yes you read that right. Your pay being off consistently at least 10 times a year. The list goes on. Will be running once I get another job.

I worked at SOS Security full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working in the NYC was great. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the employees were fun and helpful and easy to work with.

    Cons

Depending on where you live the commute was miserable and the winters were brutal in the financial district. There were absolutely no opportunities to further your career and very little Raises on a yearly basis.

    Advice to Management

They need to get rid of the union. Prior to the union your opportunity was based on performance instead of time put in which I didn't think was fair to some of the outstanding employees.
