I have been working at ScienceLogic full-time

    Pros

I have been with ScienceLogic for a month now. Being a more Sr. professional, I have priorities for companies/environments that support me in being my best. It is one thing to have people tell you things about the company and another to get on the inside. I am so pleased every week at the support, the willingness to drive innovation, a superior product and customer success. They walk the walk and talk the talk. I am thankful for the opportunity to join such a talented team!

    Cons

For those that can take the initiative, it is a great place to thrive. If you are waiting around for someone to tell you what to do, it might not be the best fit.

nice office building; people are friendly (below manager level). Best suited for males (not a problem - just an observation).

    Cons

Sales driven company. Whatever is promised to the customer must be delivered!

    Advice to Management

Lead with integrity. Solidify your vision. Use professional discourse at all times.

    Pros

Smart colleagues, latest technologies, good benefits, great work/life balance.

    Cons

Need to reduce the carbs/fats filled free-food always available. It sounds great to begin with, but starts showing unless you are pretty good at self control:)

    Advice to Management

Keep going the way you are.

I have been working at ScienceLogic full-time

    Pros

The company offers amazing work-life balance. Employees are respectful, intelligent, caring, and willing to make a positive difference in the organization. Benefits are excellent, especially the health coverage with employer funded HRA.

    Cons

A few employees/leaders can be resistant to change and improvements that are commonplace in other growing/successful organizations.

    Advice to Management

Trust employees to make decisions and exercise intrapreneurship. This will help to increase the speed in which the company functions and grows.

I have been working at ScienceLogic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Energetic and upbeat company atmosphere, where the Executive Team is always looking for ways to improve the software products and the company in general.

    Cons

Working remotely can be 'lonesome' sometimes. Other than that I really don't find any cons in working with this company.

    Advice to Management

Keep an eye on the burden of management and look for ways to reduce the 'burn out' of senior staff members.

I worked at ScienceLogic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Entrepreneurial culture can be attractive. Autonomy is encouraged. Pay is good. There are some smart people here. Not much else to say, sorry.

    Cons

Extremely confusing and weak market strategy. Dysfunctional and unprofessional interactions among VPs. Inconsistent messaging. Employees are being misled. The product is antiquated and irrelevant. They're chasing a thin window that has passed.

    Advice to Management

Streamline everything. Cut the complexities out of your product, your teams and your processes. Clean house. Pay attention to what is happening in the market & with your customers. Take action when needed.

I have been working at ScienceLogic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    * Challenging, fast-paced work environment. I am never bored, and frequently excited by the work.
    * Fun, nerdy company culture
    * Competitive compensation, including bonuses and employee referral program
    * Dave L., the CEO, is genuinely excited about the company's work, down-to-earth/easy to talk to, and incredibly transparent about sharing news/information. Expect quarterly all-hands meetings!

    Cons

    * This is not a company-wide issue, but it seems like there are some departments where women are infrequently hired/promoted. I thought it was just my perception, but others have noted it as well. Perhaps related, it also seems like there are comparatively few women in management positions.
    * Vacation time is definitely an area for improvement. 10 vacation days/year (plus 6 sick days that few people on my team ever use) for the first two years, then 12 days/year thereafter. Meanwhile, I've worked at other, similarly sized companies in the area that started at 15 vacation days/year in addition to sick time.
    * 401k matching takes 4-5 years to be fully vested. Again, I've worked at many other companies where employees were immediately vested.
