    I worked at Sequenom full-time

    Pros

It was fun while it lasted. Had a great manager and enjoyed working with my team. Benefits were awesome. I enjoyed their small, steady paced culture.

    Cons

More layoffs after LabCorp acquisition. LabCorp's benefits is astronomically expensive. Pay is no longer competitive and we lost our bonus.

    Advice to Management

Company is small enough that you have opportunity to be exposed to different aspects of the business. Company holds quarterly employee meetings and sponsors events with free food to celebrate company accomplishments.

There has been a lot of turn over in management staff which causes change in direction.

    Pros

    They hire just about anyone

    Cons

Because they hire anyone they end up with a ton of people who are incompetent and vindictive. There are a lot of politics in this job. It does not matter what you know its who you brown nose to

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of your rear ends. You never speak to anyone and you need to start listening to your workers. It will make you a happier person.
