I worked at Terranea full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Scenery, most people are nice... and have great intentions... but go there to work and def. not to Make friends ... they will test you and throw as much work on your plate as humanly possible so be ready for it... go get it

    Cons

make friends. It's hard when you see these people everyday... but rest assure you cannot trust people even when you have dirt on them... sad to say... I was an Engineer level 1 and so many people were being low balled so when I got there with my credentials but lack of experience... they hated on my work ethic... they hated that I was thorough and I asked too many questions because I was learning as we all are... but too many people had opinions... and not enough honesty in my department... I say too many chiefs fasichiously ... Todd is an amazing boss and he took over a tough job when I got there early on in my hiring. My fellow co workers hated in me until they started seeing pay raises ... then were happy but it was too late I saw how they were when they got together... fake! I tried to voice out my opinions on the matter and as soon as they found out they sabotaged me... oh yea check advice

    Advice to Management

Don't fall into temptations it's all around you.... females, alcohol, empty rooms that the other engineers like to sleep in on there "off time"

I worked at Terranea full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Gorgeous setting for a large resort right outside of Los Angeles. The drive to work everyday never ceased to amaze me. They pay fairly. Good benefits. Top notch facilities.

    Cons

Hours for management are typically pretty insane. Work life balance does not exist. The resort can get so busy with both the actual guests and locals that come to eat at the restaurants and just walk around that it can become a bit zoo like. The customer service culture of excellence is not as strong and ingrained across all areas as it is in some other hotel chains.

    Advice to Management

People need to have lives outside of work as well as friendships AT work. Don't create such a "separation of church and state" type of situation.

I worked at Terranea part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It has a beautiful place to work and the pay is good. Also, plenty of employee benefits to use at their other resorts.

    Cons

Cafeteria food for employees is okay. They're dining prices for guests are quite high for the quality. Could have more employee training.

    Advice to Management

Have more training for employees over time, besides training the first few days. Increase quality delivered and need more equipment such as lounge chairs.
