Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn and grow. There are still some great managers left. There is also plenty of work to be done and our niche is probably as close to "recession proof" as you can get in tech.

Cons

It seems like we haven't had consistent leadership in a while. Between changing leadership team members and constantly shifting organizational priorities, it is a wonder we make progress on anything. The company recently began a push to RTO, despite initially being told by leadership there were no plans to force people back to the office. All employees within 50 miles of an office are required to be in-office every Tuesday. The PTO policy was recently changed to a "use it or lose it" policy. Accrual rates were also adjusted, resulting in time being taken away from some of the company's most tenured employees. Pay is below average though the benefits, flexibility, and culture generally have made up for that. Open and honest feedback to policy changes is swiftly dealt with by redirecting employees to private 1-on-1 meetings.

Thank you for taking the time to share. Specifically, the details around the Townhall and the desire for more questions and ways to engage to get feedback is something we can take back for review and discussion.

Pros

Great Starting salary, I was promised great raises and bonuses and a light workload.

Cons

The company (RedTail Solutions) was recently bought by True Commerce. The salary was great to start, but the promises were not true. They have a lot of money to throw around to hire people, but after that they don't care. The promise of a light workload is discussed a lot, but as time goes on, you get more and more work and eventually it becomes unbearable. If you speak to management they say, "Sorry, if we were still RedTail I could do something, but now that we are True Commerce, my hands are tied." They should probably get t-shirts printed with that line on them. There is no problem breaking promises when you can blame it all on TrueCommerce. Old management of RedTail reports to the new management of TrueCommerce. Old management is bound by contracts to stay around, but they are sitting on fat stacks of cash from the buyout and can't wait to leave.

We haven’t had anyone from Customer Support leave the business since TrueCommerce acquired RedTail, so the comments are a little confusing. Anyways, thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately, I cannot comment on any promises about salary or workload that were made by the RedTail team prior to the TrueCommerce acquisition. However, if you have concerns about your workload and you are not getting answers from your direct management, I would suggest that you reach out to their supervisor or human resources to discuss. We know the workloads are busy but we also know that is a sign that our business is doing great! We are also currently recruiting for quite a few positions that weren’t budgeted since we have been so successful this year. It just takes time to get them all filled but we do have a great referral program if you know anyone who would be a good fit. At TrueCommerce we pride ourselves on being a Top Workplace and we didn’t get there by not focusing on our employees as you suggest. Our employees are actually the ones that complete the third party survey to rank us as a Top Workplace. If you want to improve morale you can help! You can join our AWE Team which stands for Awesome Work Environment. We are always doing fun things such as going to baseball games, having summer picnics, celebrating birthdays, etc. and would love for more employees to join in on the fun!
