I have been working at iwoca full-time

    Pros

    Full transparency on all levels
    Changes implemented quickly once proofed.
    Brilliant Offices
    Progressive outlook
    Amazing perks-incentive to work hard
    The best people.
    Lots of CPD

    Cons

Expect long hours(but they go quickly)
Steep learning curve to the non-tech savvy

    Otherwise, should have applied sooner.

    Advice to Management

Keep the people incentived, educate them more, keep them happy and they will stick with you.
    Keep doing what you’re doing.

As-hoc surprise bonuses would be great too.

I have been working at iwoca full-time

    Pros

summer/ winter house, large office in good location, plenty of good food in the office, the quarterly rocket awards are a fun way of "spending" the perks-budget.

    Cons

Inexperienced managers who see micro-management as the cure for everything. When things go wrong the whole company starts a massive blame game and gets a speech from the CEO along the lines of: you need to work harder.

There is a back-stabbing mentality all around. Outside hires are preferred to developing existing talent and the turnover rate shows. The departments barely communicate with each other, let alone collaborate or work with each other. Especially tech and operations have close to no interaction.

    Advice to Management

Less hypocrisy and more treating your people like adults. They may choose to behave as such.

I have been working at iwoca full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

iwoca is a great place to work, and you can tell the company culture has been integral to the success of the business so far. Everyone who works at iwoca is very driven and passionate about the business and our collective goals/objectives. The office is an inviting place, with many different spaces to work and engage with friends (colleagues). The working houses that are set up every 6 months are also a real point of difference!

    Cons

iwoca is very fast paced and always changing/improving, this suits me and the people who work here, but it may not suit everyone.

    Advice to Management

Keep promoting out of the box ideas and innovations, keeping the iwocan spirit alive and that 'Start up/fintec' feel.

    I worked at iwoca full-time

    Pros

Good place to work if you dont mind some ambiguity in your role and there are many learning opportunities

    Cons

Culture is quite stale for a young company

    Advice to Management

Less emails, more face time and take a more active approach to your management responsibilities

I have been working at iwoca full-time

    Pros

Competent upper management. Smart colleagues. Fair treatment of employees. Remote working from a mountain challet or a beach house a couple times a year.

    Cons

There's a lot of work and the hours are long. Not so much as to require to work over weekends or cut on sleep, but there's little time for anything else during the week.

I have been working at iwoca part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - They listen to and respect their employees
    - They are very current and strive to satisfy

    Cons

Hardly any. Of course there are niggling challenges with any modern company. Let us keep on trusting our human resources rather than be tempted by constantly evolving tech.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up really. Positive disruption is good disruption.
