COVID-19 response from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield At this critical time, we are working tirelessly to support public health and ensure that our members, employees and community stakeholders have access to the care and resources they need. We are taking appropriate precautions to protect our staff, ensure business continuity and act quickly and decisively in response to emerging community health needs. To date, more than 95% of our employees continue to work remotely and we’ve taken actions like waiving cost sharing, implementing no-cost telehealth visits, member phone consultations and CareFirst Video Visits, offering a premium deferral option, contributing $2 million to community relief efforts, accelerating payments to healthcare providers and more.
