May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage (AAPI) Month! This is an annual celebration that recognizes the contributions of people from Asian, Asian American or Pacific Islander ancestry to American culture. The month of May was chosen because it commemorates the migration of the first immigrants from Japan to the United States on May 7, 1843. It is an opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary cultural variety and vibrancy of the AAPI diaspora, and also an opportunity to raise awareness about the unique challenges members of these communities face. This month, GoDaddy is celebrating the cultures, traditions, and history of these communities. Through our GD Asians Employee Resource Group, we will be hosting a multitude of events, including: a Tea Time Series with Mayur Jain (Director of Engineering here at GoDaddy) and a Boba Social Hour, where team members can purchase tea kits from Loose Leaf Boba, a GoDaddy customer.
