Littelfuse Kaunas Helps Connect Hardware Engineering Community Littelfuse Kaunas recently teamed up with the Kaunas University of Technology to take on an ambitious goal to build a city-wide community of hardware engineering aficionados. On February 6, they gathered in the first Hardware Meetup Kaunas that connected more than 120 participants passionate about all-things electronics, mechanical engineering, and hardware product development. The Thursday evening opened with a welcome speech from Jovirdas Linkauskas, Littelfuse R&D manager EMEA, Sensing. “This initiative is not as unique in its format as it is in its focus on hardware,” said Jovirdas. “There are many engineering communities in the country, but most of them are targeted at software engineers. Also, there is a tendency for such communities to serve as headhunting platforms. Our goal is different. We want to connect people who want to cooperate, learn from one another, gain new insights into emerging technologies, and expand their network.
