Wanted Meets Wanted at the Career Fair in Kaunas The Littelfuse team in Kaunas, Lithuania, joined more than a hundred other companies and public organizations who gathered to connect with more than 9,000 young talents in the local career fair Wanted Meets Wanted. This year, in addition to the traditional stand in the main Career Zone, Littelfuse team was also present in the Innovation Alley where our R&D engineers demonstrated the Littelfuse automotive rain sensor. "Wanted meets Wanted is an excellent platform for meeting the best and brightest young people looking to make the first step on their dream career ladder," said Ruta Klioryte, talent acquisition manager, Europe. "For us, it provides a unique opportunity to present the company and hold hundreds of job interviews in a single day. Meanwhile, candidates get the chance to "try on" many potential employers, learn about diverse positions, and get the feel of organizations that best match their own values, interests, and career goals."
Littelfuse Chippenham Associates Cycle for Charity Recently, associates Fiona Lambert, engineering manager, and Phil Townsend, R&D engineer, from Littelfuse Chippenham took part in a Ride4Simon cycling challenge to raise funds for brain tumor research. In just three days Fiona and another 17 enthusiastic fundraisers traveled 220 miles (over 350 kilometers) and took in an elevation of over 13,000 feet (almost 4,000 meters). The group of cyclists were supported by a dedicated volunteer pit crew, led by Phil. He was driving a van alongside the cyclists, ready to hand out bananas, oat bars and spare inner tubes to the cyclists when needed. Fiona and Phil helped to establish the Ride4Simon fundraising group back in 2017, after their friend, Simon Oldacres, lost his battle with a brain tumor in 2016. Simon himself entered a lot of cycling sportives to raise money for brain tumor research—for that reason Ride4Simon was set up to cycle in his memory to help fund a cure for this devastating disease.

Littelfuse Announces Global Survey Results on Electrical Safety Awareness CHICAGO, May 30, 2019 — Littelfuse, Inc., a global manufacturer of leading technologies in circuit protection and power control, today announced the results of its recent facility electrical safety survey. The global survey conducted by Littelfuse earlier this year finds that while most workers feel arc-flash mitigation is a priority in their workplace, only half have completed a risk assessment to identify hazardous areas. Of the facilities completing a risk assessment, 75 percent have equipment rated at high risk of more than 8 calories/cm2. The calorie rating determines the required minimum arc-flash protection clothing workers must wear to protect themselves. To put that in perspective, the onset of second-degree burns may occur at 1.2 calories/cm2. View the survey results here: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vM9rB
