I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Microsoft in Feb 2012
Interview
Very simple interview. Was asked about my resume and my motivation for applying to work at Microsoft. No technical questions. Was asked a brainteaser and given a pad of paper to work through solving it. Interviewer was very pleasant and asked if I had any questions. Dress was meant to be casual. Was vaguely told to hear back from them in about three weeks.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Super Day, 3 interviews with different people from different groups over zoom. Great experience and a great program, just wasn't for me. Be very knowledgeable of Microsoft's different sectors. Know super-duper basic accounting. Be personable.
Relatively simple process. 1 Phone interview followed by a 4 interview super day. Questions were all straightforward and felt like conversations were more than an interview. Everyone is really nice and will help if you're stuck.

I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Lisbon, Lisbon District)
Interview
The entire recruitment process was rather lengthy. From the first interview mid-July till the starting date mid-November. There were a total of 2 rounds. The first round was an interview with the recruiter while the final round consisted of multiple same-day interviews, a presentation (which you had to prepare for ahead of time), and a group exercise with the other interviewees. Despite the lengthy recruitment process, the recruiters were supportive throughout and interviewers were extremely friendly.
