      Pros

      - One unpaid break, one paid break. Both a half hour - Health & Wellness station with certified nurses - Has an exercise area if your muscles are cramped or something hurts; just gotta let your manager know - Mindfulness room, if you need some time for your mental health - Very accommodating - Training is easy and quick - Prayer room - Most managers know what they're doing - There are opportunities to switch to different jobs if the one you currently have doesn't fit with you (Learning Ambassador, Manager, HR, Security, Loss Prevention, Pack, Pick, Stow, Docks, and of course Delivery are the ones I know of, and I'm 100% certain there are more) - You can talk to HR directly if you have an issue! You don't even have to wait 20+ minutes on the phone: there are stations right there in the warehouse where you can talk to a representative! - 4 10-hour days, so you get an extra day off - Starting pay is $17.25, which is an increase from when I last worked there, and I'm seasonal

      Cons

      - On the flip side, 4 10-hour days is long and exhausting - Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance is not the greatest, though Amazon offers a tax-favorable Health Savings Account (90 days for Seasonal, 30 or 60 days for full-time, but none for Reduced- (30 hours/week required) or Part-Time (4-6/week required, I don't remember) - You walk into hiring, wait in a line (there's usually a lot of people in there), you turn in your paperwork that they send through email (with which I've never had an issue), you get your photo ID and drug test, then you set a hire date, which is 2-3 weeks out, so it's a month before you get a paycheck

      Pros

There aren’t any Pros w this job.

      Cons

Worst unprofessional unorganized onboarding process and admin office I’ve ever witness in over 20 yrs of working. I got hired for a pt flex position and went to complete my background check and drug test and the recruiter inform me to wait on my email clearing me to be able to work it should arrive in a couple of days so I’m able to get my work boots to begin my start date which was 3 consecutive days on the following wk. I picked the pt shift becuz I have other employment else where which I used a personal day off to attend this onboarding process. Days go by and they have yet to clear my background check and the start date is approaching I’ve given up days at my other job to be free to work those start date. The day right before the weekend of the start I receive an email saying my background and drug test cleared and immediately after this email was an email notifying me my start date was canceled and I would have to pick another start date through the link provided. I click the link it’s a box on my employee profile that states there aren’t any start date available. I call the ERC number I get a hold of this woman w a heavy accent i asks her if it says this when will my start date be if there aren’t any available she informs that I’ll have to keep checking the site periodically to schedule a start date and they usually drop start dates on Friday-Monday, mind you this is just training not my actual schedule. One weekend goes by nothing pops up for a start date , another weekend goes by nothing pops up I call ERC again they give me this same lady who tells me the same thing, also to add w her heavy accent and her rudeness it’s hard to hear her becuz she will talk over you before you finish your question. i ask her how long will the profile be in this status because we going on 3 weeks without a start date and nothing has changed with start date schedule becuz at this point I have an alert set up for when a start date pops up on the site. She replies you just have to keep checking and as sumone who handles onboarding process she doesn’t have the information to tell me how long the profile can be in this status. lol ATP I’ve accepted Amazon has wasted my time and gas money to start my employment and don’t care so if I can give any prospective employee any advice DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB FOR AMAZON EVEN WITH A START DATE because their office will have you waiting without any real assistance to your problem. I’ve worked for Amazon before it was simple as you watch the training video while at home go in for training day after the video then pick your schedule these ppl have overcomplicate a once simple process. Do not work for DCX9.

      Pros

No real interview so no need to stress about one. If you can pass a drug test you're hired immediately. Not much need to think - you need to pay attention the whole time but once you get the hang of it you can kind of daydream throughout your shift. It's physical, so working a full shift feels like a workout and I slept great after work. Clock in/clock out - not a job you take home with you or worry about off the clock. You start ASAP and get full benefits day one - that was my main reason for working there.

      Cons

You are basically a human robot/cog in the machine, so you need to accept that. Turnover is very high and the work is physically demanding - if you're lazy or call out frequently, you will lose your job. Very little social life - most are just clocking in for their shift to do a job, not looking for friends. The picker position in particular you work at a station on your own, so you won't be chatting with anyone while you work. It's silent and repetitive, but you have to pay attention the entire time, so both your brain and body are tired at the end of a shift. I am strong for my size and very physically active, but I developed carpal tunnel almost immediately due to the repetitive movements of my hands and wrists. I started right before Black Friday and went from zero to 12 hour shifts of the same movements 40+ hrs a week. Even though you are hired immediately, you get no say in which department you are placed. You can't choose a department, and if you eventually want to switch from being a picker to another department, so do most pickers, so seniority and reliability matter.

      Pros

There was no real interview, just some online assessments, drug test and background check. There’s many ways to take time off if needed, such as UPT, PTO, vacation time and VTO if offered. Everything is done through the app. Work is fairly easy.

      Cons

Working in the summertime when it’s over 100°. Managers and PAs playing favoritism.
