What is the hiring process like at Deloitte?

      Not bad for an internship.

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The hiring process was quick and there wasn't as much overtime as expected.

      Cons

Didn't learn much, didn't feel like I was exposed to the core business of the program.

Great company with an amazing team

      Business Outlook

      Pros

You get assigned a coach who helps you through the performance management process and is a great resource Excellent benefits include health, fitness subsidies, and surrogacy benefits. Deloitte University is an incredible Having Deloitte on your resume can open a lot of doors

      Cons

You could get stuck on a project that you don't like and it may be difficult to role off

Not a bad place to work but used to be a lot better

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Large variety of project and practice development work. Big name clients People are mostly smart and motivated Probably one of the better employers for hybrid and remote working choices.

      Cons

Performance management process isn’t based on anything tangible just hearsay, meaning that it’s definitely who you know not how good you are in order to progress, more so than other large corporates. The interesting, innovative types of consulting projects are very lacking with increasingly limited opportunity for technical training or to develop subject matter expertise, some consulting areas now don’t really offer much else other than glorified IT project management. Pay is ok but not great for expected workload. Currently a real lack of strategic vision within UK consulting. Overall, the business feels its lost its way a bit from where it was about 2-3 years ago.

      Great People! Beware USDC

      Senior solution consultant
      Current employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Excellent certification opportunities, develop networking skills, professional workshops. The people you work with are smart and hard working, Projects can be interesting as well!

      Cons

They do not articulate that USDC has different pay and benefits for the same work in the hiring process. Pay is around 10-40% less than core counterparts and benefits while passable leave a lot to be desired. USDC practitioners often feel like 2nd class citizens in the firm.

      Pros

      - bragging rights that you join a big 4 - claim of unlimited leave policy

      Cons

      - promise training provided since I was doing a mid career change and that they will help me ease into my position. Left my previous job under this false pretense and gave up 30k bonus for no training, no help and just all around fake and terrible coworkers - informed management team and hiring team I am a part time student and will have to go for PHYSICAL lesson and was given the okay initially but once I started working, my directors were unhappy I leave work ON TIME for my lessons... - told that work attire is smart casual and was scolded by same director that I need to wear formal when it is not formally communicated. (I have prepare formal wear if I am going to client place) - claim to have unlimited leave policy but is impossible to get approved for and director will make a big show that he is doing me a favor - backwords thinking, unprofessional managers and directors that shows favoritism and bias openly (openly scolding and belittling of my effort whilst not providing any training) to aid said issue I am not up to par for) - expect you to work overtime everyday when I am not paid to do so

      Pros

      Cons

Lack of structure, no oversight, and excessive duplication between different business units and market services. If you prefer to steer clear of political dynamics, Deloitte may not be the right fit for you. The hiring process is deficient.

      Pros

Add Deloitte to your Resume! That's all

      Cons

You are just a resource, they have the worst resource management process and utilising their employees. You can either be within the top 5% working on the best projects or within the rest, average projects and barely gaining expertise, or low brackets were a potential bad performance is on your way. I rarely met someone happy at Deloitte
