What is paid time off like at Eli Lilly and Company?
Pros
The front-line employees are amazing, Employer-sponsored pension, 401(k) match up to 6%, Generous family leave, Flexible PTO and holiday schedule, Corporate bonus and stock program, Important work, Can switch jobs/departments every 3 years (to keep being challenged)
Cons
Senior Leaders (VPs) are capricious and lack transparency. No work/life balance. Salary is below market rate. All employees required to work a hybrid schedule so leaders can “see” people in the office (regardless of the amazing innovation delivered during the COVID WFH arrangements).
Advice to Management
Senior and Executive Leadership need to stop treating employees as a commodity. Offering an on-site gym and over-priced, high-end cafeteria options is not a substitute for treating front-line employees (B1-4, P1-4) like absolute stars for delivering on the aggressive business plan.

Plenty of job openings Pension 6% 401k match Great Medical/Dental coverage Summer/Winter Shutdown (NOT in Most Manufacturing Departments.) Great Opportunities for Growth
Cons
Retaliation for speaking up. Rotating 12hr shifts with Every Other Weekend off. Poor Work/Life balance (In Manufacturing) 2.5 Days of Missed Work, Equals Forfeiture of Annual Pay Increases and Bonuses. 24-hr Operation with Holidays Recognized if it Falls on the Weekend.
Advice to Management
MANAGEMENT! GOOD WORK/LIFE BALANCE is necessary for ALL EMPLOYEES! NOT JUST WHITE COLLER POSITIONS!!! Your manufacturing division employees are tired and exhausted! Leaving their children missing their mothers and fathers! Spouses feeling without a partner. The 12-hr rotating shifts are RIPPING FAMILIES APART! Leaving these employees suffering from mental/physical exhaustion and in some cases with the onset of depression. These working conditions cause employees make honest mistakes, which is a VERY BAD mix when it comes to manufacturing medicine!
