Pros

They have a great benefits package of health care options, vision, dental, and earned time benefit. Company really invests in their people, and wanted to promote from within. You get an annual bonus every year, which was a big chunk of change. They also gave it in December, so right at the time of the year that people really need it for Christmas. You also get some paid holidays.

Cons

Working total loss claims is the make or break moment for a lot of adjusters. I felt like the company should have paid more to the adjusters once they started handling total loss claims, due to the complexities involved. You do end up working late from time to time, but if you focus hard on your claims through the day, you will likely leave on time every day.

Advice to Management

Management was great, from the team leaders to the claims managers to the CEO. Everyone wanted to be successful and they wanted you to be successful with them.

Pros

Progressive has a great profit sharing program. It is a transparent organization and offers a lot of flexibility. The culture is also one of the best. I have seldom meet someone at Progressive that is unlikeable. The benefits program is one of the best and so is the flexible time off.

Cons

I can't really think of many. It would be nice to add a pension plan outside of the traditional 401K program that we have. However, Progressive matches 6% of your contributions and an uncapped amount. So I suppose, that is better than other companies out there.
