I applied online. I interviewed at AbbVie in Jan 2023
Interview
A 30 min intense interview with a manager on Teams. During the 30 min, I was asked millions of questions and my throat hurt after the interview. Mostly technical questions and just very few behavioral questions. The interviewer kept asking things to see if I was qualified for the role. Even about stuff not described in the job posting. I felt like the manager meant to find a computer part, not a coworker liked by the team. I was glad they didn't let me move forward with whatever the next step would be.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself. Have you done this/that? What challenge can you think of in doing this/that?
The senior recruiters were nice offering to send my other resumes to positions in other territories and actually gave feedback. Although I wish they had told me sooner they wouldn't proceed with me rather than almost two months later.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AbbVie (Madison, WI) in Aug 2025
Interview
Phone screen with recruiter. Recruiter told me that she'll get back to me but haven't received any update nor an automated rejection. Is abbvie seriously looking into these issues? Hey, I took time out to interview with the recruiter so can the recruiter give a courtesy reply that I'm rejected and what went wrong? It's not so hard to give constructive feedback in a market where getting past a phone screen is a job in itself.

Question 1
Background information, incentive discussion, discussion over next steps, financial incentives, job description
Phone interview screening, then in person interview. Gave me a tour around the building and lab space. They also took me out to lunch to meet the team. Everyone was very friendly, and took about three hours.
