I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AbbVie (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Phone interview with the hiring manager, then 1 day on campus with 13 people.
I echo the fact that they are very quick to bring people in, but it doesn't mean anything. team didn't have time to train me and wanted something very very specific, ie someone who had already done the exact same job before.
lots of contradictions when it comes to what they want and what they hire.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Lots of what would you do in this situation, not much about the actual job and the experience they wanted
They asked STAR style questions, related to experience, education & background. Competency based questions & situational questions such as “show us a time where you…”
Interview lasted an hour and was with the line manager and senior manager
I applied online. I interviewed at AbbVie (Ludwigshafen am Rhein) in Jun 2025
Interview
Communication with HR is not sufficient. Without a HR interview, I have directly met with the departmant head and then met with the whole team. Also hard to follow up on their internal process as there was no information flow from HR

Question 1
Could you share a challenging experience you have faced so far?
The interview process was a set of 5 interviews starting with a recruiter call and moving up through various levels of management. This was a remote position so all were virtual. The people were very nice but the process took over a month to get through. The position was closed without hiring anyone in the end.

Question 1
Walk through my usual process for starting a new project.
