I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Allianz (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2014
Interview
Talked to them during a career fair and had a 30 minute interview on campus a week later. Super nice and seemed really interested in what I had to say. I think my interest in finance and computer science experience got me the job. Asked for specific examples of projects done in school and was heavily questioned on everything on resume.

Question 1
Explain a topic from microeconomics in detail.
What specific projects have you done with VBA?
Overall fine experience, interviewers and HR people were friendly to interact with. The one drawback I can think is that it took long to hear back via email. Thought they were ghosting me at first.
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Allianz (Minneapolis, MN) in Mar 2024
Interview
HR conducted a phone screening followed by in-person interview and tour of the building. HR person said they would provide an update the following week but went silent instead. I applied again for another position and went through the same steps, and this time they ran a background check. In both cases, HR never replied to follow up e-mails before sending their standard rejection e-mail weeks later. I was surprised to learn that Allianz employed such unprofessional recruiting practices. Beware of ghosts at Allianz Life.
I applied online. I interviewed at Allianz (Kuala Lumpur)
Interview
It was a very smooth progress, interviewed by two very experienced actuaries, can see that they are very friendly people. At the end, I dint managed to get the offer, but they also will inform me my application had failed, did not ghost me like other companies did.
