It took 11 days after applying to get an invitation for an interview. The first step was a 30 minute digital screening with the recruiter. The interviewer showed up 15 minutes late to our video call and said she forgot that we were doing a video interview instead of a phone call, so our conversation was only 15 minutes. Our conversation went well, I liked her personality and thought my experience was relevant to the position. She was candid and shared the salary, benefits, and culture of the position, which was refreshing. She told me I was one of the more junior applicants, and that I was one of the <10% who got an interview, which I also appreciated. The most disappointing part of the process is the interviewer happily noted multiple times at the end of the conversation that I did fantastic, and I "had absolutely nothing to worry about." There was no follow-up or rejection email, even after I reached back out a week and a half later. It was upsetting to be told how amazing I did then not know why I didn't advance to the next stage of interviews.
