Interview
A marketing manager emailed me to set up a 15-minute initial phone call. Then moved on to a 45ish-minute interview with the same manager and one other. Fairly standard questions. I was told at the end that I wouldn’t hear back for 3 weeks because they were interviewing so many other candidates. Fast forward 3.5 weeks and complete silence. I emailed the interviewer and was, unsurprisingly, informed I did not get the position, and that “the rejection email from HR must have gotten delayed.” Seriously?? Talk about unprofessional. I politely asked for feedback and was simply told “we identified candidates that were a better fit.” Oh well, not surprising in this job market…
