      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Comcast

      Interview

Interview was fairly simple. Questions were basically regarding prior work history and examples of prior situations. Interview was done in person with 1 manager initially and took approximately 30 minutes from beginning to end. There were several candidates being interviewed the same day with me.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Comcast in May 2012

      Interview

I have 2 years of sales experience, mostly with individules, and decided to apply with Comcast for a business sales position. I did the phone interview (which I knew went badly as soon as I hung up), and sure enough I recieved an email the next day saying I was not being considered further for that position. I know it was due to my lack of experience specifically with business sales. About 3 weeks later I randomly received an email saying they had kept my resume on file and they thought I would be a better fit as a Customer Account Executive, which focuses on individual sales versus business sales. I was shocked that a company actually keeps resumes on file when they say they will! Anyway, I did the initial phone interview which lasted about 20 minutes, and that went far better than the first interview I had 3 weeks earlier. They called me the following day to schedule a 2 on 1 face-to-face interview. A week later I went on the face-to-face interview, and the two supervisors who interviewed me were very nice, professional, and asked good questions - mostly situational questions like "what would you do if"... and "tell me about a time that you"... The one bad part about the whole experience was that they told me I would hear wheather or not I got the job withinin 48 hours- one of the supervisors even made a point to tell me "we don't leave you hanging"... However after a full week of not hearing anything at all, I started to suspect I did not get the job. But exactly a week after the face-to-face interview, I recieved a call saying I had gotten the job and they sent me an offer letter right away. Hey better late than never! I don't think my experience interviewing for this position is quite the "typical" one, but I was pleased with the results.

      Interview

First there was a phone interview with basic questions about simple technology things. Then, the on-site process was multiple sessions with different people, one right after the other. It was all very generic as they hire anyone who is not a felon.

      Interview

First thing you do when you walk in is sign in (name & appt. time) then you'll sit and wait for the remaining people, approx. group of 8-10. Get there early so that you can get a seat, the are limited. You'll all walk to a room where with about 8 recruiters; someone presents the job and all the perks that come along with it. Once the person is done with the presentation the recruiters began calling the name of the person they are interviewing and if there are not enough recruiters you'll have to sit and wait. Once your done with the initial interview you will talk to another person who asks a two part question that I feel will make or break the decision to hire you or not and that is "Have you ever worked in a position that was based on sales? Was it commission based? They are not looking to TEACH you how to SALE their product and services so if you have not worked in a position in which one of your main responsibilities was to sale they most likely wont hire you, unless you can speak to them in a way that convinces them that you'll succeed.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Name a time you had to deal with a difficult customer? What did you do to resolve the issue and how did the customer feel at the end of the call?
