I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CoverMyMeds (Columbus, OH) in May 2018
Interview
I applied online and was contacted to schedule a phone interview about 1 week later. The phone interview took place about 2 weeks after my initial application. Immediately after the phone interview (within 24 hours) I was contacted to complete some candidate assessment testing - a personality test (DISC) and an aptitude test (Wonderlic). One week after the tests, I was contacted again to schedule an on site interview/"Project Day".
This final interview took place almost a month after my initial online application, and included a tour of CoverMyMeds' very impressive headquarters in downtown Columbus. CoverMyMeds currently occupies four floors of the Miranova building. Although it's clear that the company is growing rapidly and space is in demand, they still prioritize spaces for relaxing, eating, meeting and playing games. It's clear that CoverMyMeds wants the space to be comfortable and enjoyable for their employees. The company provides chef prepared meals and a multitude of snacks for their people which is an amazing perk. The offices are near the top of the building and offer some amazing views - it is a truly incredible workspace.
After the tour, I had two separate interviews with two current Support Supervisors. Both of them were friendly, professional and very easy to talk to. Finally, I met with a current Account Coordinator for the "Project Day" portion of the interview, which is essentially a crash course in CoverMyMeds' electronic prior authorization software, followed by a short role play where the candidate takes on the role of Account Coordinator, and the interview/current Account Coordinator plays the part of someone calling in to ask for your assistance. It provided a great way to get a feel for the day to day responsibilities of the role.
I was informed 34 days after my initial application that CoverMyMeds was moving forward with other candidates. Although I am disappointed that I was not offered a job, I can certainly understand why there is so much interest in this company. I can honestly say that the entire experience was a wonderful one, and I would highly recommend checking out CoverMyMeds - just be prepared for a lot of competition!
Thank you for your thorough overview and recommendation! While we're sorry the result wasn't what you had hoped for, we are thrilled to hear that you had a positive experience.
