    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kobie Marketing (Saint Petersburg, FL) in September 2015.

    Interview

Phone interview for about a half hour. I was asked about J2EE experience with web services and web service clients. Some general SQL questions. Very cordial and laid back. Called in for an in-person interview that was pleasant. I met with two team leads who clearly knew their stuff; they were interested in my SQL and Java knowledge. There were some general questions and then some questions to test my experience.

A binary tree was drawn on a whiteboard, and a Node class was written next to it. I was asked to write pseudocode to traverse the tree.   1 Answer

    Project Manager Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Kobie Marketing in September 2015.

    Interview

I had a phone interview with one of the recruiters and then a phone interview with the Director of Agency Operations. After the phone interview with the Director of Agency Operations who was the hiring manager, the recruiter in HR contacted me to say that she received positive feedback and that they would like me to move forward and complete a Project Manager Assessment that they created. The assessment was basically a made up scenario about a project and I had to describe how I would approach the situation. I found it to be silly and a very ineffective way of measuring and assessing someone's project management skills. It involved making up my own scenarios and didn't provide any real details surrounding the project that would dictate how I would actually handle it in a real life situation. I basically declined to move forward and didn't want to waste any of my time on it because I already had another job offer.

    Interview

Recruiter will reach out to you for a brief discussion on your qualifications and what you're looking for in the position. They may schedule a phone interview at another time for convince. If it's a good fit you then will interview with team leaders and sometimes coworkers, it's heavy on personality but qualifications gain importance with more demanding roles. The job is business casual to casual so a suit will be impressing people.

I have only had an initial phone interview that was more exploratory in nature. We completed a review of my resume and background and discussed this role and potential roles coming down the pipe that better aligned with my skill set and background.

    Operations Specialist Interview

Anonymous Employee in Saint Petersburg, FL
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kobie Marketing (Saint Petersburg, FL) in April 2015.

    Interview

I was referred by a friend who has worked at Kobie for a little less than a year. I was required to submit my resume via my friend, and I was told that I would hear back. It took probably about a week for me to hear anything except that they were reviewing my resume. Then I received a phone call to set up a phone interview with our in house recruiter. She was very friendly and nice to talk to.
After that she had to speak with those who were interested about me and my experience and she would get back. I heard that Kobie wanted to move forward and I had a second phone interview with 2 people in my department. I guess they liked me because a few days later I was asked to schedule a face to face interview with 5 of the members on my would be team. I went in and they asked me normal interview questions. None of the interview I had really ever felt like an interview. It was more of a conversation with peers. I always felt very welcome here at Kobie even from the beginning.

One of the interviewers was sick so later I was asked to have a phone interview with one more person.
and then one more person who was also looking for an Operations Specialist for their team as well.
This was unique because I hadn't spoken to anyone on her team prior to this conversation. Less than a week after that I received an offer which I accepted.
It was a lengthy interview process for me. I had about 6 interviews total (4 phone and 2 in person)
