Interview
After applying through Marriott Careers I got an e-mail to schedule an over the phone interview. The interview lasted 30 minutes and said she would forward it to her Sr. Recruiter for a follow up. I was ghosted after that.
Communication is key especially in the hospitality industry. We are trained to follow up with guests and employees on all occasions. You would think that Marriott International would do the same with their applicants regardless of the outcome.

Give me a scenario where you had to prioritize one thing over another?
Screening process. This is the first interview that asked what year I graduated. I felt this could discriminate with age. Not appropriate to ask. Other than that it was basic questions. I received a rejection letter prior to the interview and confirmed If this was accurate. They said it was an error only to get the same one a few days after the screening. Makes me wonder if they had a backup candidate already and if I wanted my time.
