Phone screen, followed by in person interview with three people, no technical questions, just wanted to see how much I knew about Moody's core businesses. General questions of why this position, what I thought of perception of rating agencies in general in light of credit crisis. Three interviews each 30 minutes.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Moody's (Bengaluru) in Jul 2025
Interview
The interview I applied for was through a linkedin job post for Moodys Business Analyst role. The interview consists of 2 rounds the first round was a mixture of scenario based questions and mostly understanding how one tackles his skill set as a Business Analyst. It was for 45 minutes and then after 2 days I got shortlisted for another round which was from one of the person basically one of the top lead or product manager from onsite and it was also a 45 minutes call. I would say this was an interactive round and it felt like the person was really happy with your answers but then I got a mail after a week that I was not shortlisted which was a shocker to me. Not sure but it seems they had issue with longer notice period which was 60 days as I felt the interview went really well.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Moody's (Gurgaon, Haryana)
Interview
I had a very bad experience with Moodys. They took 2 rounds of interview. Post which they mentioned that i have cleared but they are yet interviewing other candidates. They kept delaying the process and ghosted me for 1.5 months.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Moody's (Vienna) in Apr 2023
Interview
Easy, applied online, got a first call about 20min, and then 1 on 1 with the lead about the position. The entire process was streamlined, everyone seemed nice, during the first call there is a recruiter who works for moodys in more countries, he was located in france and dealt also with the austrian branch.
