      Product Marketing Manager Interview

      Mar 20, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Pearson

      Interview

I I had a horrible experience interviewing with this company. It was six short interviews with individuals who had few to no questions to ask me but just wanted to know what questions I had for them throughout three weeks- 30 minutes at a time. Therefore, it was interview after interview with me carrying the entire interview. Then, two individuals decided they had no actual interest in interviewing me ( same interview) without really asking me any questions and cut the interview very short. One then proceeded to let the hiring manager know I was not a fit for the job and c.c.'d me on their email accidentally! It was a highly inappropriate, mean, and untrue email that I was reading from a genuinely unkind man. I wrote back to inform them of why their statements were not factual but received very little compassion or follow-up on that awkward mistake they made. I also took all remaining interviews only to get a "No" from Pearson, and no one was interested in pulling up with me to receive feedback on the interview process when requested, which is why I am taking to glassdoor. Interview here if you want to feel highly disrespected and like your time does not matter.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Pearson (American Fork, UT) in Aug 2011

      Interview

The process is quite long and you will meet with a number of people. Expect at least two, if not three, appointments (each being 2-3 hours). You may be asked to present on a topic, or present samples of past work. You will be expected to to meet with a number of different people from a number of different departments.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Process was several hours of interviews with at least 6 different people - none of this was communicated to me before the interview. First interview was over 3 hours long. It's difficult to prepare when you don't know you're meeting with people from various departments.
