I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pier 1 Imports (New York, NY) in Nov 2016
Interview
I waited with several other people and had a 1:1 with a member of the management staff. Everyone was very professional and business like, although the atmosphere was not at all tense. Rather, it was relaxed. Other people dealt with were kind and professional as well.
Everything was done online and the scenarios were so opposite as to make one option the obvious answer. If you had a pulse and could show up on time, you got the job.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Pier 1 Imports (Sterling Park, VA) in Jun 2018
Interview
Went online and applied and also did the online questionnaire . I also had a face to face interview with one of the managers. The interview was easy and the manager was impressed with my skills and experience. However, I was disappointed with the offer. It seems that the company was really looking for a temporary employee and could not guarantee 25 hours a week of work. After going through the long process I was really disappointed and felt that the manager really wanted me there so that she could be relieved. The manager gave a feeble excuse that their systems are very different and needed to be learned hence the fewer hours. Do not waste your time applying for a job at this Company. They put you through a thorough interview process that takes hours and then offer you a miserable job offer.
