      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Raymond James Financial (Saint Petersburg, FL) in Mar 2009

      Interview

Typical Careers website posting for positions. If you meet the criteria you will be contacted by a recruiter to come in and do a basic mathematical assessment and initial interview with the HR Rep. RJ is pretty good about letting you know they're interested (in which case you'll be called by the HR Rep to come in for a follow-up interview with the hiring manager(s) and/or their leads) or you'll receive a rejection email (not always timely). This firm is probably the most comfortable environment I've worked in since starting my work experience.

      Interview

First interview was a phone call, more of a screening. They sent a survey after to fill out. Second interview was in person. Very conversational and light. Business professional wear!

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Raymond James Financial (Memphis, TN) in Nov 2018

      Interview

I applied for a Trading Support Associate position in Asset Management Services in the Memphis, TN office. The recruiter, based out of St. Petersburg, Florida contacted me and said they wanted someone with experience for that position but she wanted me to come in and interview for the Fee Based Senior Associate Position in the same department. I interviewed with the department manager (who was on site and based out of Memphis) as well as her manager (who is based out of the Florida office and who called to conference in to the interview). The questions were very simple and very easy. I was asked to explain details of my prior work experience and they wanted me to describe a time I had to handle a conflict that arose between coworkers. I figured that in the office (it was very small) they had probably had prior issues with conflict between the agents before. What other reason could there be for asking that? It had nothing to do with the actual job duties. Even though the position called for someone with only a High School Diploma I was asked about the Master's Degree I was pursuing and what I wanted to do with that. I was also asked if I had a specialization in any particular field. Overall, the interview was easy and comfortable. Before I left they explained to me about the job in detail and what the day to day activities would consist of. Weeks went by and I heard nothing from anyone at the company. So I reached out to the recruiter to see if they were still considering candidates or if the position had been filled. I heard nothing. I emailed the recruiter and left a voicemail message. Yet the recruiter was non responsive. So I called another recruiter I had spoken with and emailed him as well. He was not in so I left a voicemail message. He also refused to respond to my inquiry. It's as if I was ghosted after my interview. It's the strangest experience ever. I'm surprised that Raymond James would treat a candidate like this who took the time to come out and interview.
