I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Sandia National Laboratories
Interview
I was initially interviewed at career fair. Then I was contacted by managers regarding their specific projects. Several managers were interested in hiring me, after few phone calls, I decided on the best program for me.
I went through two rounds, including a pre-screening and a panel. I mostly had to answer STAR questions, and it was a smooth process. They asked me about leadership, what technologies I know, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary!
I applied online. I interviewed at Sandia National Laboratories (Albuquerque, NM)
Interview
I'd say my interview was pretty straight forward. I had the first round with just the manager which was pretty much introductions and learning more about the role (about 30-45mins)and then on the second interview it was the manager and about 4 other members of the team This was a 1 hour interview where they looked into my resume and asked me questions about some of the stuff on there. The format of the questions where like, Why did you use a certain method to solve a problem, are there any scenarios where you would say that your method won't work and stuff like that. I also got questions like, Have you used (Skill) before and tell me more about what you used it for. Its also important to note SNL has a LOT of departments and so the interview might be different depending on the organization you're interviewing with.
