The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Sears (Pennsdale, PA) in Apr 2010
Interview
Applied online, recieved a call about my interview. I got there and the person who was supposed to interview me was off. Sat around waiting and was told that I should really apply for the sales job. Went online at store applied and got the thumbs up on the personality test. Went in for interview where they asked me very random questions and then said I would start at 6.00 plus 1% comission.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Give me an experience you had where you had to work with someone who did not work well.
Took like 20 mins. Very easy but questions seemed random. It also seemed like management had no idea they had interviews scheduled cuz there were several of us waiting for a long time
The interview process can vary depending on the company and position, but here’s a general idea of what to expect:
1. Application Review: After applying, they’ll review your resume. If they’re interested, you’ll get a call or email to set up an interview.
2. Phone/Video Interview: A lot of places do an initial screening over the phone or via video call. They’ll ask about your background, why you're interested in the job, and how your skills fit the role. It’s usually a casual chat, but make sure to prepare by knowing the company and job description.
3. In-Person Interview: If you pass the initial screening
Fill application form to apply and wait few days before submitting it to the company. Had to provide personal documents and references from previous employers. Initially was interviewed on a phone.
