They called me on the phone and asked me on spot some questions and then proceed to send me an email with a software formative coding assessment which I had a week to complete and submit back.
First had an initial phone screen with the recruiter then a zoom video interview with hiring manager. The hiring manager was very passive aggressive and make negative assumptions about you that you have to defend yourself.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Splunk (New York, NY) in Aug 2021
Interview
Manager screen > recruiter screen > 4 tech sessions at remote "onsite"
Initial screen: project and skills walk through, questions about project management and learning new skills, questions about experience
On-site: intermediate to advanced SQL, light python, AB testing (hypothesis testing) and some additional intro stats type questions, product management screen about how to scope new work and how to collaborate with stakeholders.

Questions about metric movement, data science work, random forest vs logistic regression, feature engineering, etc, advanced SQL.
HR reached out via E-mail. Initial call to discuss the position and general questions about education, technical experience. Also, was informed of the day to day responsibilities of the role.
