      Financial Analyst II Interview

      Aug 2, 2013
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Eagan, MN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Eagan, MN) in Jun 2013

      Interview

Initially was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn asking if I was interested. We then set up a phone interview a few days later. About a week after that, I was asked to come in for a face to face interview at their offices with person who would be my direct supervisor in this role. The interview took about 45 minutes, and the manager stated they would be making a decision within a week regarding next steps. I was never contacted again, and did not even receive a generic rejection email.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

All of the questions were pretty straightforward- walk me through your resume, tell me about a difficult problem you solved, how did you deal with a difficult co-worker, etc.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Eagan, MN) in Jul 2019

      Interview

I applied online, the recruiter reach out to me the day after to set up a phone interview. The questions were pretty straightforward. However,I found out later that knowledge in a certain software, the recruiter mentioned was desirable/preferred for this role, was no longer used n the job so I was a little bit confused. The first round of interview consisted of two in-person interview: one with the Director and another with a Manager to access your skills. The second round of interview was more of a follow up and see how I could fit into the company culture. I got an offer in 3 days.

You will have an initial phone interview by HR. Then you will be invited to interview with the hiring manager, director, possibly a few other peer managers.
