I applied online. I interviewed at Verizon (Albuquerque, NM)
Interview
I applied on-line and received a phone call within 30 minutes from a recruiter with Verizon requesting a phone interview. We had the phone interview the next day and it went well. I was told to come in for a skills assessment. I failed the skills assessment. The frustrating part is they don't tell you what section you failed or what you could have done better at.

Question 1
The most difficult question was about fishing - blue fish and white fish like cheese, you will only catch spotted fish in the rain, etc. The lights kept going out while I was taking the test (I think they were on a timer and I was the only one in the room). Anyway, I think they try too hard to weed people out when they obviously are in desperate need of help. I have a bachelors degree in marketing and many years of customer service and sales.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Verizon (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2026
Interview
The interview was conducted virtually. It was for the customer service position. Mostly I was questioned about how I would handle various scenarios, for assisting clients. I was asked some real world examples and asked to handle them.

Question 1
How would you handle an angry or disgruntled customer?
Lengthy and the paperwork is extremely confusing to fill out and submit. Thank you. But other than that really nice people. They hire through a 3rd party called Rose International…. Very helpful people
Unprofessional interview, and unfair. Being bilingual and many years of customer service experience they decided to pass due to many years of experience. The interviewer also looked unorganized and was bias.
