I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp in Mar 2014
Interview
1. Phone Screening-10-15 minutes
2. Skype Interview- 3 different managers interview you for about 20 minutes each. role play exercise with each one and then basic interview questions
I got a background check email a few days later and once that cleared I got an email saying that they want to extend me a formal offer and set up a phone conversation to discuss the position etc.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
