I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2014
Interview
I was selected for a phone interview after applying online. The phone interview is pretty basic, questions as to why you want to be involved in sales and what attributes you have that would make you succeed in the position.
I was selected to move forward in the process and interviewed with three account or sales managers at Yelp. As everyone else notes the most important aspect of the interviews are not the role plays themselves but being able to implement the feedback that you receive after each role play. Pay attention to the feedback and implement it in your next role play and you should be good to go.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
