I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zendesk (Singapore) in Jan 2019
Interview
Had a screening interview with the internal recruiter, who then passed me on to meet the hiring manager very quickly afterwards.
Interviews via webcam were arranged in quick succession with other managers from SF and EMEA the following week - this part went surprisingly quickly. Discussing the role with these managers it was clear there were varying perspectives on what the core role responsibilities would/should be.
I was then set an analytics assessment (heavily redacted dump of customer and transaction data in a googlesheet), the brief was to present insights. I worked for more than a week over CNY to analyse, profile and build a powerpoint deck, which I presented in person. However I was in and out the door within 1/2 an hour with very few extra questions - and within a day HR emailed that they were moving forward with other candidates because I was not technically heavy lifting enough - this 'capability' was never tested.
Emails I sent to get general feedback on my profile, and interview performance went unanswered.
It was a lot of work to get nowhere and learn very little. The whole process would have left a better impression if someone I had just taken the time to give some feedback. For a company who sells customer service software, where is the follow through and resolution?

The HR is honest about the salary limitations of the company. they never kept me on the dark when I was applying to them. Also, the tone of the interviewer is professional.

Interview
It was a long process but it was a very good experience. I was interviewed by a total of 7 people but I can say that it has helped me learn about the culture more and meeting all of them also helped me in making the decision to join the company because they were all nice people who could bring out the best in me.

STAY AWAY from this company. The recruiter was exteamly unprofessional, they sent data challenge project without considering your availability and timeline at all. After spending so many hours completing the project, the recruiter GHOSTED. Don't ever waste your time, there are so many better and legit companies out there.
