The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs for the manufacture of precision tooling and parts made from a variety of materials. Programmers interpret engineering drawings and 3D models, select appropriate tooling and work closely with both machinists and engineers to ensure quality and timely manufacturing is maintained.
-Associate's degree or certification in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

-3+ years of experience in CNC/NC programming, preferable in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing

KEY Responsibilities:
- Develop NC/CNC programs for 3 and 4 axis machines using Surfcam software or Mastercam.
- Create Manufacturing Process Sheets (Machining Instructions) to accompany Programs.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and 3D CAD models to create accurate and efficient machining instructions.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies.
- Preform simulations and verifications of programs to ensure accuracy and prevent machine collisions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, machinists, and quality personnel to optimize machining processes.
- Revise programs to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain program documentation and ensure revision control.
- Support shop floor operations during the setup and initial runs of programs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any programming-related issues or discrepancies.
