Pros

Competitive pay Great benefits Good learning experience for the highly motivated Many "extracurricular" activities for those who are interested Opportunity to work with people in other countries

Cons

- Performance reviews use a bell curve assumption that there is always an underperformer - Increasing use of outsourcing, insourcing and offshoring has resulted in less of a sense of teamwork - Unrealistic timelines make the company's lip service to work/life balance just so much hot air - Siloing and lack of communication among functional areas - High risk of burnout and resulting health problems that are then blamed on the employee - Managers tend to hire people of their own race/ethnicity - Constant reorganizations create uncertainty; processes change often and are not always documented.
