Pros

diversity (all aspects), huge global presence, multiple business units, long term incentives, annual bonus/short term incentive, great people

Cons

lack of opportunity, the long term bayer hires, who are usually high up there are very dogmatic in their approach and disconnected from reality, the germans approach the American staff like they would in Germany and that creates a huge disconnect. The Berkeley location is very political, and merit is often overlooked. It is easy to falsely accuse someone of something, and have that stick, the onus is proving innocence, and not guilt. The high number of recent resignations show that once people get their annual bonus, they want to go to a better atmosphere, where you are paid more fairly.

Pros

A very good place to work

Cons

I am not sure if they have a system to place their interns to full time positions. I am comparing this to the people I know that did intern in other companies and were able to secure full-time positions

Pros

Better pay than other companies My team - full of hardworking and knowledgable individuals.

Cons

Leadership/Management - can be micromanaging at times and not a lot of guidance/resources being provided. Projects can change swiftly at Bayer, and most of the times there's no background context given. Work/life balance - asked to be "flexible" with schedule for last-minute requests, then criticized for having life/responsibilities outside of work. Also, these last minute requests reflect poor planning on management. Lack of team morale - seems like it's all work and not a lot of play. Burnout culture and not a lot of incentives to perform better.
