Short term very good (15 years ago) but very disappointing as time passed. - Management Capital Group Employee Review

Pros

Initially very good pay and benefits. Solid management team at first. Highly trained and intelligent workforce.

Cons

Senior Manager under went some physical challenges and it dramatically changed his judgement and ability to lead. Took a very long time (5 to 8 years) for the business to address and made everyone's life miserable in the mean time. New management team came in and did what they always do - get rid of the current team and replace with cronies from their old jobs. Special bonus numbers were reneged upon for certain entire management levels but were communicated as individual performance problems. We learned about the special bonus being removed for an entire level of managers from other affected managers at the same level , not by our direct leaders. Benefit promises made pre-retirement were not kept. Health insurance numbers that they show you to plan your retirement immediately change as soon as you retire. Costs went up by 60% in two years while active employees were largely unaffected. I was told to expect this to continue for retirees (25-30% a year).

Pros

The bonuses and CSRP of 15% as well as many benefits are unmatched. I enjoy many of my colleagues and have made life long friends.

Cons

It was a great place to work and many will continue to feel that way until they are affected like those of us in the Norfolk Virginia office. There is no loyalty from the company and people are replaced either by a “vision“ of technology that doesn’t yet even exist within the organization or by cheap labor “offshore“. I thought I would retire from here and now I find myself out of a job after over 20 years before the end of 2027.
