Pros

Best environment and good work-life balance, flexibility in work. You can share, implement your thoughts which is recommended.

Cons

Too much of tenure, you might find yourself in comfort zone which you will find hard to break.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and giving FIS a five-star rating. We’re glad you felt comfortable sharing your thoughts during your time with our company. You mentioned career development and comfort as a con. We do have many long-tenured employees who have made a career with FIS and taken advantage of our large organization and our mobility opportunities. These experts and thought leaders are one of the reasons we are a global leader in financial services technology, and we appreciate and value their loyalty and commitment to the FIS family. While encouraging our employees to be their own Chief Learning Officer, we offer a variety of learning opportunities and have condensed these into our Grow Your Own Career portal for easier navigation. Employees have access to a tool called Opportunity Graph, similar to an internal LinkedIn profile, where internal hiring managers can see your skillsets and your aspirations, and employees can see the development path required to move into another role or department. As part of employees’ Performance365 career conversations, we also encourage them to speak with their manager about finding you a mentor within the company, and/or a potential cross-functional opportunity where you can collaborate outside of your normal role or function.

Pros

Most colleagues are well intentioned, but stretched beyond the max.

Cons

After filing for FMLA, my “leader” encouraged me not to involve HR in the future. The whole point of FMLA is job protection. Him making this suggestion, at best, seems highly unethical and potentially illegal. Some leaders are good with people. Others are more techno sound. The ones that can effectively do both are let go. It makes no sense and the company offers little transparency.
