Pros

Since KPMG is one of the Big 4s, the obvious pros are reputation and experience on your resume. KPMG does emphasize training and offer a lot of good methodologies and tools for reference and guide.

Cons

Be ready for a very political environment. You have to suck up to move up. You have to know the right people and sing the same song. Management do not communicate big news in a clear and timely manner. Workpapers are very manual, administrative, and time-consuming (plus they are not-chargeable). If you are looking for work/life balance, then do not work here. Certain managers are just plain ***holes.

Pros

Good learning environment, the teams help support your development when you're new, and they take you under their wing to succeed in your role.

Cons

It is a grind, work-life balance can become nonexistent, and it can be draining.

Pros

Good Benefits - Get the week of the fourth of July and the week of Christmas off every year.

Cons

They say we are doing well but everyone is stagnant. No real opportunities to get promoted or raises. Gone through 3 layoffs. Management says that no one is leaving because they love working there but no one is leaving because the market is bad. That is the reason for a backlog of folks trying to move up.
